The Block of the Month project is commencing! Over the year, we’ll make 12 blocks that will later be seamed into a beautiful blanket. We’ll squeeze in a few extra blocks for those of you wishing to complete an afghan in time for Christmas. The blocks get progressively more complex and this is a great way to learn (or hone) some knitting techniques and add some decorative stitches to your repertoire. You buy your yarn as you go along, so you avoid any expensive initial investments.
